Are you an actor that sings or a singer that acts?
New Music School is thrilled to have award winning TV, Film & Broadway actor Michael Hayden as he helps us discover how to bring a song to life in the most deeply personal way possible, while also accomplishing the vocal and structural demands of a song.
The classes will use modern Method acting exercises to help us reduce self consciousness, allow us to embrace our impulses, temperament and especially those aspects of our personality which are normally subdued when “singing.” Each of us has a voice that is authentic and that voice is beautiful. The work of this class will be to strip away the barriers that keep you us from that voice.
Fall semester: September 10th-December 3rd, 2018. Monday evenings 5-8pm
